New Canada immigration programs were launched on January 2, 2021. One of the programs launched under Newfoundland and Labrador is Priority skills Newfoundland and Labrador. Your ICCRC registered consultants in Delhi must be aware of this upgradation.

The programme was first announced in a November 18, 2020 news release titled, "New Immigration Pathway to Attract Newcomers to Stay in Newfoundland and Labrador."

“The pipeline will attract highly educated, highly skilled newcomers with specialized experience working in industries like technology, where a growing need has outpaced local training and recruitment,” according to the press release.

Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada's easternmost province, is made up of two distinct geographical masses. Newfoundland is an island, while Labrador is connected to the continent. The provincial capital, St John's, is home to the majority of the province's people.

The province has recently risen to prominence and grown into a strong economic force in Canada, thanks to a surge in natural and energy resources.

The new Priority Skills Newfoundland and Labrador immigration track is aimed at attracting "highly educated, highly talented entrants," and it notably targets skilled workers with work experience in in-demand occupations and Memorial University graduates.

Depending on demand, up to 250 to 350 invites will be issued under the new NL PNP pathway throughout the year.

Individuals who:

  1. have experience in occupations in high demand in Newfoundland and Labrador
  2. have a high level of education
  3. language
  4. work experience
  5. and/or work experience
  6. and who wish to express their interest in either staying in, or coming to the province and becoming a permanent resident of Canada, should use the Priority Skills NL process.

The new path will work on the basis of an Expression of Interest (EOI) system.

Candidates interested in emigrating to Canada and settling in Newfoundland and Labrador will need to start the process by filling out an EOI profile with the NP PNP.

Following receipt of an invitation to apply through the online portal, the candidate can apply for a provincial nomination if they meet all of the eligibility criteria for the Express Entry Skilled Worker or Skilled Worker categories of the NL PNP at the time.

EOIs are being accepted under the new NL PNP process from – at the moment.

  1. Individuals who have worked for at least one full year in a "specialized, highly skilled, high-demand occupation" in the prior ten years.
  2. Individuals who have earned a Master's or PhD from Memorial University in a certain field such as agriculture, aquaculture, health care, or technology in the last three years.

How can I immigrate to Canada as a Tech worker?

Canada's IT industry is booming. Take help of immigration consultants for immigration to Canada. The Canadian Information and Communications Technology [ICT] sector has a significant demand for qualified people. Canada provides a variety of visa options for international IT talent to meet this need.  You can take help of Canada immigration consultants in India

Despite the global impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on businesses and the economy, Canadian corporations have continued to seek foreign talent in the digital industry.

Because of the increased demand for ICT employees in Canada, a variety of temporary and permanent options for supporting the sector are available. While there are general programmes for talented workers, certain programmes are tailored particularly to foreign tech talent.

Express Entry

The Federal Skilled Worker Program [FSWP], Federal Skilled Trades Program [FSTP], and the Canadian Experience Class [CEC] are three key economic immigration programmes managed by the Canadian government's Express Entry system.

While the FSTP is for people who are proficient in a trade and want to settle in Canada, the CEC is for people who have already lived in Canada.

The FSWP can be used by a tech worker who has never resided in Canada before. The FSWP is used by around half of the immigration candidates invited through Express Entry.

Keep in mind that in order for a profile to be successfully entered into the federal Express Entry pool of candidates, the candidate must achieve a score of 67 on the Canada Skilled Immigration Points Calculator, which assigns points based on factors such as age, education, work experience, and so on.

Check your eligibility for Canada PR through FSWP for a thorough explanation of how the Canada eligibility points are determined.

Once a profile is in the Express Entry pool, another score – the Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS] – comes into play. The higher the CRS, which is assigned out of a total of 1,200 points, the sooner the profile will be offered an Invitation to Apply [ITA] in the upcoming federal Express Entry lotteries.

Provincial Nominee Program

Candidates can be ‘nominated' by provinces and territories participating in Canada's Provincial Nominee Program [PNP] based on local market needs. After receiving a nomination under the PNP, an immigration candidate can apply to the federal government of Canada to have their permanent residency [PR] application processed.

Under the PNP of Canada, there are roughly 800 immigration streams available.

Because technology is such a large industry with such a strong demand for competent individuals, some provinces have created Tech Pilots particularly for it.

Applicants for Canada visas from India can now submit their biometrics

f:id:Talentconnected:20210929142721j:plain

Biometrics must be submitted as part of the visa application procedure for those intending to travel to Canada for job, study, migration, or even tourism. You can take guidance from an immigration consultant in India to clear all the doubts.

Foreign nationals asking for a visitor's visa, a study or work permit, refugee or asylum status, permanent residency, a visitor's record, or an extension of a study or work permit must submit biometrics in most cases.

People who fall into this category must submit their fingerprints, a photograph, and pay a fee. Biometrics are collected in Canada to swiftly and precisely identify the identification of foreign visitors so that they can enter the nation.

VFS Global recently announced that ‘'...Canada visa applicants who have completed their visa application under Economic PR (E or EP) can register biometrics at Canada Visa Applications Centres in India, starting February 24, 2021."

VFS Global assists Indian visa applicants with support services for Canadian visas. It operates a network of Canada Visa Application Centres (VACs) throughout India.

These VACs collect biometric information from visa applicants while also providing administrative help. A visa applicant must, however, schedule an appointment with the local VAC before submitting his biometrics. This meeting can be scheduled online.

Aside from collecting biometrics from PR visa applicants under the economic programmes, the VACs will also collect biometrics from visa applicants in the following categories:

  1. Family class priority
  2. Students
  3. Workers
  4. Returning students and workers

Returning students and workers must schedule an appointment in advance using their old study or work permit application number, which will be included in the new permit paperwork, and submit the number, which will begin with a S or W.

When going to the VAC to submit his biometrics, the applicant must have his valid permission document and their Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) to establish their position as a Returning student or worker.

Biometrics are an important part of the visa application process in Canada. This vital procedure must be followed in order to obtain the required visa for the country.

You are advised to take the help of best consultants for your Canada PR application process from India. The best consultants will be the ones with:

  1. ICCRC certification
  2. Enough experience
  3. Awards and certification
  4. Complete transparency

Keep in mind the above mentioned points and choose the best Canada immigration consultants.

Immigrate to Canada’s older regions: Nunavut

f:id:Talentconnected:20210915160924j:plain

Nunavut, Canada's largest and most northern territory is one of the country's coldest locations. It's also the newest, having only gained independence from the Northwest Territories on April 1, 1999. Nunavut, North America's largest geopolitical subdivision with a size of 2.093 million km2 and a population of just over 30 000 people, is one of the world's most distant and sparsely populated places. On Baffin Island, the capital city of Iqaluit is located near the easternmost point of the territory. Here's everything you need to know about Nunavut, Canada. You can consult immigration consultants in Nehru Place for more details.

Where is Nunavut situated?

Nunavut is a unique territory in that it is the only part of Canada without any motorways connecting it to the rest of the country. Alert, the northernmost meteorological station on the planet, is only 508 miles from the North Pole.

The climate of Nunavut is Arctic and Polar, which means there is always ice, snow, and frigid temperatures. Even in the summer, temperatures in the extreme south rarely reach 15 degrees Celsius. In the winter, temperatures can drop to -27°C and even lower.

What is the cost of living in Nunavut?

Due to the severe isolation of Nunavut, some basic prices might be quite costly. The cost of supplies and Labour is considerably higher, which, when paired with the harsh weather, can be a significant deterrent for those considering moving to this part of Canada. The $16 minimum wage, on the other hand, is the highest in the country. The provincial government guarantees that inhabitants are well taken care of by providing subsidies and cutting the cost of several necessary produce goods.

What is the economy of Nunavut?

The mining, gas, mineral exploration, and tourist industries all contribute to Nunavut's economy. The northern parts of Nunavut are thought to have considerable oil and coal deposits, which are all being explored. The vast majority of people are self-sufficient.

How are the demographics of Nunavut?

Nunavut's population is 60% Inuit, and the official languages are Inuit, English, and French. The provincial capital has a population of around 7000 people, with the rest of the population dispersed across the smaller communities of Arviat, Rankin Inlet, and Baker Lake.

The Protestant and Catholic faiths are followed by almost 90% of the people. Nunavut is an exceptionally diversified province that offers residents and newcomers a distinct and small-town way of life.
