Find a School

Canada has so many options that it can be a challenging challenge to find a place. Before you know what you want to do, you can take your time to explore the different schools of services. You need to request to obtain access before applying for a study permit in Canada after you have selected an appropriate institution.

Check your eligibility

You must verify that you were approved by the specified academic organization you applied to in the previous phase in order to be qualified for a visa to research in Canada. You will then offer evidence that you are willing to cover the tuition costs and your living expenses throughout your stay in Canada so that you and any family members who come with you into Canada can compensate for the return travel.

Apply for a study permit

You are also eligible to register for an academic license or temporary resident visa (TRV) after you have gained admission to the school of your choosing. If needed by the CIC, you may need to apply for a TRV, but you do not need it from a visa-free country. You may also require the permission of the Quebec government's immigration authority whether you are keen on studying in Montreal or some other province in Quebec.

Documents required for studying in Canada

As stated above, a medical report may be required and if that is the case, the paperwork must be given. In addition, Police Clearance Certificates are provided. You will require an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) and/or a valid passport. More significantly, the organization of which you have submitted has to get a formal notice.

After Arrival

You can choose to do so, either by applying for a postgrad or by applying for an extension of your degree in Canada if you find you would like to complete your postgrad or prolong your studies.
